Bow tie pasta

Bow tie pasta, or farfalle or butterfly, is a fun and bite-sized Italian noodle that can be used in any pasta recipe. In addition, its unique shape makes it perfect for adding various flavour profiles. As a result, it is a versatile noodle served in soups, salads and baked ziti dishes.

Unlike other plates of Adelaide pasta, bow-tie pasta has ridges that help it cling to sauces. It makes adding to a creamy mushroom or tomato sauce easy and works perfectly in soups and salads too!

Spaghetti

Spaghetti is a type of pasta that is made of long, thin pieces of dough. It is usually served in a tomato sauce and is frequently sprinkled with cheese or vegetables. It is one of the most popular types of pasta and has been around for centuries.

Spaghetti is cooked to al dente (Italian for “to the tooth”) to create a firm but slightly chewy texture in Italy. However, it is not too soft and can handle a wide range of sauces, including extra virgin olive oil-based ones.

There are many shapes of pasta, with each being able to accommodate a different variety of sauces. For example, a sturdier pasta, such as rigatoni, is better suited for heavy, chunky sauces, while a lighter, more delicate pasta, such as angel hair, can be paired with light and fluid sauces.
